Low dissolved oxygen [D.O] levels are the major water quality limiting variables in aqua culture. Critically low D.O. levels in ponds can cause stress or even mortality of prawn & shrimp in ponds. However chronically low D.O level can reduce growth, feeding and moulting frequency in prawn & shrimp.
